About

Welcome! My name is Bryan Bove, I am a writer, artist, and general pop culture nerd whose work has appeared in the film studies journal The Projector and The Routledge Companion to Gender and Sexuality in Comic Book Studies.

I am currently a PhD candidate in the American Culture Studies program at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, with a secondary concentration in Women’s Studies. My areas of interest include comics studies, queer and feminist studies, gender & sexuality, disability studies, YA novels (specifically queer YA and 1990s supernatural romance), and pop music of the 1990s and early 2000s.

When I’m not reading for school, I’m often reading for fun. I also enjoy traveling, long bike rides, walks with my dog Boki, cooking, photography, and watching tv.

See my CV below for my details about my education and career!
